Thank you for visiting with us. Daniel and I are fanciers
of the Great Dane breed currently located in Northeastern Kansas where
our
dogs live in our home as members of our family. Our dogs compete in AKC
conformation and occasionally rally, and have their temperaments
periodically challenged through the American Temperament Test Society, Inc.
We pride ourselves on having well rounded, stable dogs capable of
performing multiple tasks. We routinely attend seminars, training, and
actively pursue new materials.
The Mercury Steel family consists of my husband Daniel, a
Major in the U.S. Army (currently serving in Iraq with the 4th Infantry
Division), myself, currently in my senior year of college, and our fur
kids.
We are so proud to be owned by the 2007 GDCA Best In
Futurity winner "Caisson,"
who finished in style at the Great Dane Club of Greater Kansas City
Specialty with a 4 point major on May 17, 2008 at just 13 months of age.
Caisson has been completely owner-handled throughout his already
remarkable career and will continue as a Special with me, his
owner-handler and proud mom, Jessica.
As a child, I dreamed of working with animals and made it
my lifelong pursuit. In 1990, I opted to attend the county vocational
school, Bristol County
Agricultural HS and graduated from the
Animal
Science program in 1994. While professionally I have found a new
calling, the dog fancy has allowed me to continue pursuing my passion
and love of working with animals.
Thank you for
visiting our website, we hope you enjoy your visit with us.
